Spring Women's Retreat
Spring is the perfect time of year to reflect, rejuvenate, and reinvent. You are invited to take time away for yourself, to be surrounded by a supportive cohort of women who understand just how exhausting life can be sometimes. Olmsted's women's retreats offer inspirational speaking, encouraging group discussions, quiet time with God, opportunities to enjoy stillness and nature, and Christian hospitality that will make you feel welcome and cared for. This year's retreat will focus on ways to pray and connect to God in the "real world." Come away and attend to your mental, emotional, and spiritual health - you deserve it!
Ginger Thomas is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church. She has an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School and has served in pastoral ministry for fifteen years in North Carolina and Western Pennsylvania, with her deepest passion in ministry being spiritual formation. She has been a retreat leader and mentor for the Upper Room’s Academy for Spiritual Formation and is called on to lead studies, retreats, and spiritual formation experiences for church groups from a variety of traditions. She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband Roger Owens, a seminary professor and pastor, and their three children Simeon, Silas, and Mary Clare, and loves impromptu Broadway singalongs, nights around the firepit with friends, crocheting soft blankets, and family game nights.
