​"Framing Our Calling: The Admins Art of Ministry"

This event is for those handling the administrative duties at a church or in ministry to reflect, retreat and rejuvenate themselves to avoid burnout and also to meet others who are serving the same roles in their churches. It allows those who "take care" of the church and its members to have time to "take care" of themselves!

Junia Isiminger

Junia Isiminger serves at Edinboro United Methodist Church as the church’s Administrative Assistant and Coordinator of Financial Services.  In addition, Junia is a Lay Servant and is currently in the process of obtaining her CLM (Certified Lay Minister) certification. She records a monthly episode for the church’s Way Maker Wednesday (video mid-week devotional) and handles the live chat for the livestream worship service. Junia is also the Substitute Lay Member to Annual Conference, Secretary of the Church Council, participant in the “Finding Peace Through Grief” support group and a member of the Worship Team.

She has been married for 36 years to Mike, and they have two daughters, Jaydyn and Jordanna and a 4-year-old grandson, Jaxson. Junia has an Associate Degree in Lawyer’s Assistant from Gannon University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, concertation in Marketing and a minor in Psychology from Edinboro University (PennWest Edinboro).   

In the past, Junia has served as the Executive Director of Pennsylvania Dairy Princess & Promotion Services, Inc. (PDPPS, Inc.), Executive Director of American Milking Shorthorn Society, a paralegal for Robert E. McBride, Esq., an office and district manager of Local Storage, Inc., plus other various positions that have given her a wide range of skills.  In her role at PDPPS, Inc., Junia planned all training meetings and seminars as well as teaching various topics for 10 years. She has been involved in 4-H as a leader, President of UCAHS Marching Band Boosters and Secretary of the Class of 2018 UCAHS Parents – Prom to Dawn committee.

Junia has been an attendee at the Admin Retreat at Olmsted and is excited to be leading the Church’s Administrative Assistant Retreat to be held at Olmsted Manor this year.

Event Information

  • Event starts with Welcome Session on Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. and concludes with lunch on Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. Registration and check-in is in Groves Lodge between 1 and 3 p.m. on Monday. 
  • Pricing includes two-nights stay (private hotel style room with linens), six meals, and course tuition. Discount available for those willing to select or be assigned a roommate. Please contact Olmsted for commuter rates.
