The 2008 Retreat for Older Adults with Bill & Lois Hiles, Week 1: July 28-August 1, 2008 Week 2: August 4-8, 2008 Cast Away to Olmsted Manor Retreat Center this summer for the annual gathering of fellowship and fun. The theme for this year is "Gilligan's Island & The Seven Deadly Sins." Join Gilligan, the Skipper and the other castaways as they travel through some of life’s lessons together. See the seven deadly sins of our seven stranded Castaways as they finally get the chance to go home! But before they escape the island, predictably, Gilligan gets lazy, the Skipper becomes angry, the Professor grows prideful, Ginger incites lust, Mary Ann envies Ginger, Mr. Howell turns greedy and Lovey Howell gets gluttonous. Bill and Lois Hiles of Port Orange Florida, will be leading both retreats. Bill is a retired pastor from the WPA Conference, UMC. Week 1: Dana Hiles will lead the Bible Study with Velva Hildebrand leading music. Week 2: Bruce Merritt will lead the Bible Study and Lauralee Bunton will lead the music. Dana Hiles is currently the Student Local Pastor for the Eldersville UMC. Velva Hildebrand, from Ellwood City, returns for her 15th year leading the music. Bruce Merritt is currently serving the Nixon UMC in Butler, PA. He has led this Bible Study for 10 years. This is Lauralee Bunton’s first year with this retreat. Lauralee is from Indiana, PA and has served as accompanist and music leader in churches and military chapels for over 30 years. The Senior Citizens Retreat is an annual event at Olmsted Manor and a pleasant time of Christian fellowship for all of the participants. Come and enjoy some Olmsted Hospitality! At Olmsted Manor you can expect comfortable surroundings, great fellowship with old and new friends, inspiring devotions and nourishing meals. The retreat leaders are Rev. Bill and Lois Hiles of Port Orange, Florida. Bill is a retired pastor from the W PA Conference of the United Methodist Church.
