Olmsted Manor Retreat Center  is in the village of Ludlow, in northwestern Pennsylvania, surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest.  The buildings that make up the retreat center include the original Olmsted estate and more recent facilities built to accommodate the needs of our guests.  The grounds of the retreat center consist of 300 total acres, 30 of which are developed land.  The Manor House, Groves Lodge, and the Carriage House, are available for guest use, with Hickman Hall serving as a meeting and conference area.

Groves Lodge is a modern, fully accessible facility with overnight accommodations for 42 adults and central dining accommodations for 50.  Hotel style bedrooms and bathrooms are designed for the modern comfort and convenience of guests, while the home style dining area encourages fellowship and conversation.  The cut stone construction of the building and its informal lounge with fireplace gives the Lodge an atmosphere of comfortable, rustic charm.  A newly constructed annex is designed for accessibility and convenience with six bedrooms complete with fully accessible bathrooms, including a wheelchair friendly shower.  In addition, the annex boasts two spacious meeting areas for the use of guests.

The Manor House is a Tudor style mansion with accommodations for 12 overnight guests.  All of the bedrooms are furnished differently, and the house has an air of faded elegance.  A spacious living room with a fireplace and grand piano is the perfect place for friends to join together in laughter and fellowship. The Manor also boasts an elegant dining room and a small kitchen for guests who prefer to prepare and serve their own food.  The kitchen is furnished complete with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker.  A meditation room on the ground floor of the Manor is a place for prayer and quiet reflection, and the house also contains an original two-lane bowling alley on the attic level.

Olmsted Manor boasts a total of 300 acres, 30 of which are developed.  The grounds of the retreat center are exquisitely maintained year round, and are beautiful during any season.  In the spring and summer, the grounds are graced with wildflowers and greenery, while in the fall, leaves from the many trees create a colorful autumn atmosphere.  In the winter, a thick blanket of snow turns Olmsted Manor into a winter wonderland.  The grounds are meant to be toured, and guests are encouraged to enjoy them.
