Church Music & Worship Arts Workshop

June 27 - July 1, 2010

This event begins with dinner at 5:30 on Sunday, June 27, continuing through lunch on Thursday, July 1.

Come Away to Olmsted Manor for the 40th Annual Church Music & Worship Arts Workshop.  Participants will attend a variety of sessions designed to enhance worship and to make the most of the gifts in our different church settings. 

The session leaders for the 2010 Worship Arts Workshop include:

Adult Choral: Dawn Weborg. Weborg, who attended Marshall University in West Virginia, has retired after 34 years as a music teacher in the Fairview School District.  She has been a church organist since she was 10 years old and currently is serving as the Organist at Wayside Presbyterian in Erie.

Organ: Brian Bogey.  Organist Brian Bogey currently serves as the head of the organ department at SUNY Fredonia. (Organ participants should bring their organ shoes and a favorite piece of music.)

       Children & Youth: Jane Howell.  Howell is currently Associate for Children’s Music Education at Shadyside Presbyterian in Pittsburgh where she leads the Sunday Adventures in Music program, conducts two children’s choirs, and leads music for Christian Education and Vacation Bible School.
